Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

What the Hell else you need? Got a CDL? Got endorsements? If so and want to work call the man. Says he housing which seems to be the main concern for working that area. You got to learn to strike while the iron is hot or lose out.rjones56 and roadwiseinc Thank this.

I don't know why you are getting on them for asking legitimate questions that anyone looking for work should need answers to. Better drivers can afford to search out the better jobs. That being said having housing in the yard is a pretty solid incentive for Williston work.
roadwiseinc Thanks this. -
Because there was enough to decide if you were interested or not and the men PUT THEIR PHONE NUMBERS on there and said to call. HELLO!! That is how you get your questions answered. Not whining around on some website about what a perspective employer did or did not put on a free add. No one here can speak for the company. Act like an adult and call them as instructed.rjones56, otherhalftw, slim shady and 3 others Thank this.

Thanks Big Duker, I can't wait to get my ##### up to N. Dakota! As soon as I cut thru all this ######## red tape here to clear the way for a visa for my wife, I will be starting a new thread about my experiences moving up there, getting housing and a job. I will not let a little thing like a lack of housing stop me, I will find a place for me and my family- "Failure is not an option"

You will do fine. You have a good attitude and that is what most oilpatch guys look for. At least in TX. And I'm sure ND in same. Drove up there a lot couple of yrs ago. Guys who met us and workers who unloaded were just good old boys like most places. Don't be scared of the cold but don't play with it either. As long as you have some food, clothes, maybe a blanket or 2 you will be ok should you get stranded. Fire is always primary survival tool, but not sure how they handle that. Your employer should be able and willing to make sure you are ready for those nasty days and nights. Go get some of that money!

North Dakota sounds better than Azcrackistan or Iraq.

I saw that add as well. Seriously considering it. I work at a gold mine close to Pikes Peak Colorado driving a 300 ton haul truck so used to cold. Thinking Texas though change of scenery. Apologize for rambling and highjacking thread. Needed seven posts to private message...lol
roadwiseinc Thanks this.
