Where to start. Ex Army Ranger. Drove truck OTR for Leviton MFG for 7 yrs after military. Spouse became terminally ill so I had to change careers so I could raise my boys. (3) Started a Temp service leasing employees to 3 local DC's. Did that gig for 9 years and built it up to 83 employees then sold it to a larger competitor. Now I have a small Goat Dairy and I make Farmstead and Artisan Cheese along with some of the best soap and skin care products in New England. Kids are grown now and have a handle on things here so it's time for me to get back out on the road again. Just started my refresher course yesterday at a local truck driving school. So hopefully I can find a decent company looking for a 49 year old ex-ranger, ex-professional truck driver, ex-temp service owner, cheese and soap making has been, that they would like to hire.

Oh yea, if any of you want to check out the farm. www.meadowstonefarm.com

At 18 got union carpenter/labor job- quit after 3 yrs.
got my cdl(back then it was called a class D) and drove for 10yrs. quit to get
back into carpentry( more money less hours).

Now the construction ind. sucks and I'm getting back into a truck.

I should of stayed with one or the other and would have been much better off.

Find what you want to do in life and Stick with it!!!!!

Had I stayed in carpentry I be making about $38 an hour.
Had I stayed in trucking I be on top of the list for most companys
