For the record it was not the shops fault. They.can never get me to Layton even if I wad in Denver or in Minnesota I would be turned around.

Got to Phoenix last night and found my truck. Got in it to move it over next to the truck of the driver that brought me down and found something interesting. The clutch brake won't engage. My DM is off all weekend so I can't ask her if I am going straight back to Brooks like she said. The truck needs service done, it's overdue. That's no big deal though. I had another driver tell me that it is likely they won't install an inverter at the age of the truck, and I will not be okay with that. I really need my micro. It has 462,000 miles on it so perhaps they will have me
Run it back to Brooks and retire it. That would be nice. It's a decent truck overall. I can get it there with the clutch brake the way it is. Once it's in gear no big deal. Perhaps I should call the DM that is on in P-Cola and see what she says.

I wouldn't drive it if the clutch brake won't engage. Not only is that a safety issues, but what if you get pulled in for inspection? What then? Ticket and points on csa. I know you want to get going, but don't ruin your career before it gets started.

I am in shop status. I am not frustrated by the breakdown, they happen. What I am just plain p'ed off about is that the truck has been getting used down here as a local and whoever has been driving decided that it didn't matter. So now it's costing me money for what the last driver should have taken care of.
Do we get breakdown pay? I can't get into a shop until Monday and that's why I ask.

How is a improperly adjusted clutch brake a violation and therefore points on a driver PSP?
-
You should qualify for breakdown. It's not much, $50/day. It is some.
-
I would figure it would be a safety issue. Something that should be caught in a pre-trip inspection. If it generates a citation given to the driver it would be points on your csa score. That is my understanding. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong.
-
How would a clutch break being out of adjustment be a safety item?
-
Well, looks like I am wrong. I was just erring on the side of caution.
-
I appreciate the feedback.
