I like seeing nice restored cabovers, think they look great but I don't want to drive one. You're always the first one on the scene of an accident lol. Between that and the steer tires being right under you it would take some serious getting used to. I personally like the longest hood I can get and a cabover is the polar opposite.

Hideous. I wouldn't drive that thing if Amy Reid was a permanent fixture in the sleeper. Give me an aero cab with a dry van with those cheesy plastic skirts any day :)

    That's un-American, or un-manly, or...

    un-something or other.

All big rigs look ugly and sound like crap. I'm a die hard car person. Maybe classified as steering wheel holder, Shoot me :rr:

own a diesel pickup and a sports car and a suv. Goofy like that..

I still can't back up a 15 foot car trailer on the first try. ###### I suck at this driving stuff :biggrin_25523:

well the peterbilt you are talking about sounds like a model 379 in my opinion is the prettiest truck on the road I drive one only thing I don't like about them is there is no room in them.the other truck you are talking about with no hood is called a cabover they don't make those anymore as well the 379 the volvo in my opinion is the most comfortable riding truck on the road. now you want to talk vintage trucks how about the old cheverlet Bison, bet you didn't know that did you yes the old bow tie use to make a big truck.or how about a marmon,or a diamond rio now those were some neet looking trucks

okie I am only 5' 8" and drive a 379 believe it or not when your short you can actually see over the hood better on a 379 then you can over one of those ant eaters as we use to call them the ones that look like it is always sniffing the ground
