oil change intervals

    The difference would be regular vs synthetic, bypass systems, ect.


    Cost in my case.

    Cat filter - $22
    10 gal Delvac - $85 to $110 (depending upon rebates and sales)
    labor - do it myself
    down time - schedule it at a time when the truck is down anyways

    Just curious what percentage of trucks on the road run synthetic oil ?
    And what percnetage run oil purifyer units?

    My rig is a 2011 Cascadia with a DD15 powerplant. Manufacturer specifications recomend oil changes at 50,000 mile intervals.
