I am a driver with 18 years experience. No accidents. No tickets. No felonies. No drug problems, etc etc etc. I am just looking for a decent job, where I can get home weekly or so, and make 38cpm or so. Also, I dont like going west of I-25. Do any of you have any good ideas of a company for me to look into? Oh, and most of my experience is in flatbed, if that helps. Thanks for any ideas or help.
are there any great jobs for a south dakota driver?

Good grief.......67 people have viewed my thread, and not one idea for me. I'm gonna be stuck at the factory forever instead of hitting the road again.

Go to the oilpatch in North Dakota. Work so many days straight and then go home for a week.

Try Tennant Truck Line, Orion, IL or Hunt Transportation of Omaha, NE. Both are open deck carriers for Deere, and would be hiring. Not sure how well they pay though.

Roadmedic, I have been out of the truck doing factory work since late Feb. I'm going to be getting to the point where my experience is "too old" if I don't find what I'm looking for and get back in a truck pretty soon.

I have been wanting to leave South Dakota, if I don't find a good company from here soon, it'll be time to pack the U-haul truck.

out there at the moment. And the pay is EXTREMELY well. -
You can try Doug Olander in Sioux Falls. He has a fleet of trucks he leases to CRST Malone, and pays percentage.
MrEd Thanks this.
