Well from that viewpoint then management had better experienced in and out of the office, bean counters, dispatchers and other talking heads for the most part have not one clue what it is like to be in the drivers seat.

I think a good Federal law to pass would be to drug and alcohol test everyone within the office to start with then make then hold a active CDL with more than 10 years over the road experience with zero convictions or moving violations.

All management should be held to the same standards drivers are including mechanics and shop helpers including random drug and alcohol test. Credit checks and criminal back ground included.

That will happen when pigs fly.

I understand about paranoia, I had many jobs in my 57 years. I have done jobs from production, driving, welding, programing, electronics, shipping/receiving, dock worker and more (even 5 years in the Army, 11B/64C). All of this said bad management and paranoia run rampant all though the workforce not just trucking. For all of the jobs I have done "trucking" for me is the best, a person has to love what they do good or bad.

The fact remains, if the company is bad, people will find out and leave that company soon the reputation will proceed them. I have 18-20 years left to work and driving is it. GOD BLESS truckers and trucking! We can make it better.
