does maverick hire husband/wife teams?

 

Not at this time to my knowledge,however it wouldnt hurt to call a recruiter and ask since they have started running reefers. I know they definitely dont on flats.

 

does maverick run alot of north east with the flatbeds in regional....like new york and new jersey(i noticed that this area is in red in the hiring map so i figured they ran up there too).......or would they keep me in my box?.....going up there makes me jumpy....just in a regualr car ....notarp...or dan......help? need some sort of confidence booster....another thing....if you make your destination and get unloaded...is there any paper work left...and if so would you mail that back to maveric or drop it off as you go by the trerminal?

 

We do go to the northeast often, some trips suck more than other's, it is what it is I suppose.
all paperwork is TransFlowed, all terminals, Pilot/Flying J's have Transflow stations.

 

cheeseburger.....is there anywhere in new york or nj that they wont send you.....are alot of the places you go esay to get into?

 

im gonna need a gps if i do this...does anyone konw what the store at maverick has gps wise?

 

i'm not aware of any places they won't send you, but usually the places we go are not to bad to get into.

GPS will get you in trouble in a hurry if your not careful. We get directions to most all the places we go from the company, and more ofter than not, their pretty good.

That and a motor carrier road atlas, and good ol' common sence....you'll be fine.

 

I do not think that the Mav stores has gps.....I have a PC Miler...older version and it does ok. Once I figured out how to set it up, it did much better.
I know sewerman has the Rand McNally and he likes it.
You need to remember it is a tool. You need to take the time to figure out your route and directions to the shipper and receiver before you take off. If you rely only on the gps, you will eventually get into trouble.
