Thumbs up to the Wisconsin legislature for passing concealed carry legislation this week.

i believe the Peoples Republic of Illinois is the only state to not allow any type of carry now......and that ban is very effective, i mean honestly, whens the last time you heard of somebody getting shot in chicago?

there is no law against a gun being in a cmv, the only rule on this is call part 172 shipper requirements sec 54 number f. witch states... A SHIPPER CAN NOT PACK AND SHIP A LOADED FIREARM., there are some area's in some states that enforce a no deadly weapons law, and some state dictate how you can legally transport a firrearm, ( unloaded, locked in a case, ect. ect.)

And not carrying a gun when you need one can wind up with you getting your name on a campaign for more safe truck parking... I'd rather deal with the employer.

I just hate the fact I will be going out on the road and have to consult an attorney to understand my rights to protect myself. I go nowhere without at least a fine tuned knife ready to work if needed and am of the opinion that if I am alone in my sleeper I should have all the rights as a man would have in his own home when it comes to protecting persons or property. At the end of the day I would rather be judged by 12 honest men than carried by six.

I've never had a problem with knives. I carry one that I refer to as a letter opener and one that's half as long as my arm. I don't show them to anyone or tell anyone about them, aside from here. I've never had to use the big one for anything but it's there if I ever need it. I figure the best weapon I have is the one between my ears.

I deliver at all hours of the night alone and have keys to my drop locations.
It is my right to carry a concealed hand gun.
As long as you have the permit most states will honor it.

Just check the carry map here.... http://www.usacarry.com/
