who knows what would be the consequences of blowing off a Canadian ticket from the Ministry of Transportation for steer slack adjusters being out of service? Aside from not being able to go to Canada, which wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

Many states have reciprocal agreements with Canadian provinces. That means tickets are pursued by the state or province. I got a parking ticket in Ocean City New Jersey several years ago. I went to renew my plates here in Ontario and I could not until I paid the fine. It may haunt you big time.

I have no idea. However, if your CDL issuance State has reciprocity with that Canadian province (which I believe with the CDL they all do) it can adversely affect your CDL. For instance, I had a guy yesterday that was licensed in Ohio. He had received 2 tickets, one in Virginia and one in Georgia and did not pay them. Both State's suspended his privilege. Under the federal regulations, 391.15, he is now disqualified as a CMV operator because a State has suspended him. Regardless that his home State of Ohio still had him valid.

We have dog teams of Mounties that will hunt you down and force you to smoke pot and have free health care if you don't pay.

Well I guess I'd better be good and pay it then. That's too bad. I really hate those inspection stations.

CVSA is for the U.S. and Canada.

    (Supposedly Mexico, too).

It'll come back to haunt you....

You don't want anything to do with the hot dog they'll give you nowadays. :) :) :)

I live 20mins from that scale, and I haven't been over it since it opened. It is the training centre for the MTO, so you know they will HAVE to find something wrong.

I was stopped by the MTO a month or so ago running down Hwy 42, which runs parallel to 401. MTO officer said they'd been receiving complaints from homeowners about the number of trucks on that road. Since 42 is and always has been a truck route, I suggested that perhaps they were like folks who buy houses next to airports then complain about the noise. He gave me a quick Level 2 and I was on my way.
