Welcome to the forum. My wife has traveled with me. It helps the spouse to better understand what goes on with them while on the road. It may be more difficult when you work or have smaller children at home. Being away from home can be stressful for both the driver and their spouse. It can work to your advantage. It can help keep a relationship fresh. For some, it can also make things more stressful. Wives will need to become more independent and make decisions without their husbands. Most drivers are away from home from 2-3 weeks at a time. Cell phones, texting and email can make it much easier to stay in touch. It isn't quite like being there in person, but can be a great way to keep up with what is going on in one another's life.
