I have a few questions for you O/O.

How did you start? What schools did you go to? What were your startup costs (rig, endorsements, licenses, etc) What would you reccomend for a new guy like me to do to get into trucking?

I have no family, I LOVE driving, and I've always wanted to own a big rig. Please point me in the right direction :biggrin_25519:

Get a CDL which means attend a driving school. Drive for a couple of years and get experience. Then look at buying a truck.

You will find that no company will lease your truck unless you have experience.

As for startup money I would recommend $7,000 - $10,000 to lease a truck to a company after you purchase it with a loan.

For a truck, trailer and authority about $18,000 - $30,000 would be good.

Without experience you won't be able to lease. Without experience and a lease you will have a tough time getting financed.
