    Is it not true,if one works for a trucking company out of Illinois,one has to get an Illinois driver's license?

    I really doubt that.

    Many of the companies in Illinois hire drivers from other states and they do not require an Illinois license.

    I have done hiring for a trucking company located in the state.

    I also live here and worked at another Illinois company and they had drivers from NY, OH, and many others and they did not get a new license in Illinois.

    In Illinois, you must be a resident of the state to get a license in Illinois.

    right now the equiptment avail is a 04 freightliner columbia mid roof w a 48 x102 wilson spread axle i should rephrase my 4weeks out if u live up north u could be home earlier i live in florida so its harder for me to get in and out but for someone who lives up north it might not be as long also u do not need a license from ill.
