What part? I've found the women at the counter at DOR incredibly helpful. The only issue I ever had there was the title counter, and that wasn't their fault. It was all the car dealers in there with stacks of title apps tying up the clerks. You just have to pack your patience and have something to occupy yourself while you wait. You know they're going to ask for a new MCS-150, insurance certificate, and 2290 receipt (if applicable) every time you go in there. Having that in hand, as well as relevant titles and other paperwork, makes the visit drama free. My last trip took 2 minutes to do two titles (after a 1.5 hr wait), then 5 min at the IRP window to change my company name, and 5 more min at the IFTA window getting direction on how to handle that change. If it hadn't been for the wait on a title clerk, I'd have been in and out of there in 30 min for all three transactions.

The only real trouble with the whole process here was knowing and dealing with the local county office for ad valorem tax and trailer tags. I'm in Fulton County so I really don't need to explain that. On the other hand, my last visit was easy. I specifically asked for a permanent tag (the Alpharetta office doesn't have many people asking for those) and had a picture of the rig on my phone to show her why I needed that and not a regular trailer plate. Next year, I know I have to go to Fulton Co first and pay the taxes before doing the IRP.

The issues were to long to mention. I don't want to talk about it again. I complained directly to the Governor.

I'm up north in Hall county so I go to Atlanta south DOT main office.

Lastly, if I have to deal with one more fat, ugly, snot nosed, slow moving over paid government self serving servant with perfect manicured long fingernails I'll go POSTAL!
