I don't know why ppl are posting rude and tacky comments....go back to nice school.

Driver, there is a way...I know cuz I was in a similar situation and was off the road for about 2 years. I found a small company with 16 trucks and I talked to the owner myself. That is what takes. Forget the large companies. They won't touch you with a 10 ft pole.....right now.

There is a way with lil hard work...just stay positive and don't let some of these heartless drivers get you down....

    Good luck!

There are so many local jobs in my town it's not even funny. A lot of them (some of which are even big companies) bend the rules just to get a body behind the wheel. I even saw an ad a few weeks ago for a driver to drive a glass truck-no experience required. The company I work at has been trying to get staffed up for a year. Just can't get the bodies. Try moving to Billings, MT. You will have a job the same week.

So your telling him to lie on his application?

Be truthful and upfront about it, explain to the company you are applying for what happen. Tell them it was a stupid mistake on your part and you have learned from it.

I have. the ones i called around to told me either i need to work 6 months or a year with someone else before they could hire me.

My question to the whole thing is who is it that will get me back on the road.

SRT had set me up for orientation because they said my reference was clean then called back and said they had receive another one from them for the incident and couldnt except me.

Only company who went forward after i told them was superservice but im still thinking i may get fired during orientation because of somebody higher than the recruiter saying im not elgible

You may not get local, and I am not sayin small companies are perfect,(they are not) but I am sayin,on average, one's chances are better with a smaller Mom and Pop outfit..

If you look, they are there, even in Ms.,in fact,I tried to get on with what I thought to be a good flatbed company in Ms last summer, but they wanted me to move closer, which I did not want to do..

    Although,I may re-think that this Winter..:biggrin_2556:
