Well it's been a very long time since I posted so a little update been out here in training going on 8 weeks now and it's been somewhat of a great experience. Took my first cdl test on August 22 and passed the pretrip but hit a cone on the alley dock and failed. Got really nervous and freaked out but I won't use that as an excuse my trainer then was going on vacation so was set to meet my next trainer in Cherokee al. Met with him and drove with him a week and he dropped me off in black river for what reason til this day I still do not know but got with my 3rd trainer and been rolling pretty good for a month now. Really nice guy and we get along great and he makes me do everything which is what I like because it gets me prepared for being on my own. A little advise to anyone who lives in Alabama make sure you schedule your test in a frieght line or you will not be able to go. I was not aware of this and have had to reschedule about 4 times. So now I have my test on the 14th and can't wait. my trainer knows I'm going to pass so he has another student coming on the 19th so I will be getting tested for my truck on the 17th I will keep y'all posted on how it goes

Am I correct that Millis has a Texas regional operation out of the Ft. Worth area? If so, any info about it would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks guys well why I was doing my restart I called around to check on my classmates to see how they were doing out of 8 not counting me 3 had quit the program because of differences with there trainers I understood what they were going thru because my first two were less than great and after the second one dropped me off in black river I could of easily just quit but one my wife would kill me and two I got a family to feed and bills to pay so I just had to suck it up and deal with it. Had a nice long sit down with Mike and told him what went on with them and left it like that. After 8 weeks out here and looking back on it I should of talked to him sooner but I came here to learn something new and have fun doing it not to be disrespected by the first two guys. But I just keep focused and not let little stuff bother me and very soon the end will be near. So to anyone thinking about coming to Millis you won't be disappointed they are all very nice people and easy to talk to just if you go thru training just remember what you came here for and don't sweat the small things life is too short for that bull. You all stay safe out there

Thanks for the post bamaguy. It's good to read the good and bad and the correct way to deal with situations. I get picked up by my Trainer 10/13. I'm really looking forward to it.

There is always a chance of conflict of personalities and it makes it very hard to live in a truck with somebody for a couple of months if you two don't mesh. It may be the trainer, it may be the student. Try to keep a positive attitude.
