Lol paper logs = always being legal unless your totally stupid!

I did hear on the grapevine that Landstar are dinging drivers with log violations with the trailer trackers:biggrin_2552:

i've heard landstar is getting really anal these days. right down to no parking on freeway exit ramps and not putting out your traingles and blinking your hazards everytime you unload and load.

i asked my company how is it that my logs are looked at by highway patrol and dot and they find nothing wrong. yet you guys come up with a whole bunch of sh--.
i also told them if they don't want to refile a corrected log and throw the old one away then they can kiss my a--. as long as the cops are happy that's all i care about.

they're throwing up a stink over my very first log that i flagged 36 miles in half hour. to them that's speed but the speed limit is 75mph. and now that i kknow what the miles are between nucor and the yard. they won't let me resubmitt with 28 miles.

if i flag 11 hours. i'm in violation. if i flag 14 i'm in violation. if i flag 70 i've automatically done 71. incomplete log grids. that's absurd. not putting down the bol's. yet they are all there on my computer. not signing. that's also programmed in.

you name it. i'm in violation. and yet 2 gals say i'm the only one that can make my logs work.

    UN ##--ING BELEIVABLE.

Crete monitors the paper logs (those of us left doing them) via the tracker. What a Pain.
Then they ding your safety score. Not fair at all. If you are electronic the logs are done for you, there is no real audit in the same sense. As stated, if the cops and dot are happy why are we penalizing ourselves?:biggrin_25521:

so, over in the other thread. you all say that truckers need to drive for a year before we can officially be called a trucker.

that's messed up. i don't wanna be out here 6 more months with my same company. just to be called a trucker AGAIN.

Who makes up these rules? Who cares how long you've been doing it? Either you can do the job or you can't. Thoes supertruckers that like to judge people forget they were new once too. I don't think anybody came outta' the womb holdin' a cb mic & a gear shift. Do what makes ya' happy driver.

one of the posters in this thread posted it in that other thread when some newbie asked the question. LOL.

besides, technically speaking. isn't that what we all do anyways. is hold the steering wheel. cuz i usually let the auto pilot do the work. i'm just having a hard time implementing the steering wheel into the system.
