Little unusual for them to load legal. It seems most bottom feeders haul cheap and load heavy. Same thing up here loads too cheap due to lack of loads.

Well guys i went to the interview with maalt transportation. Sounds like a great company ive got the job if i want it. The thing is they advertised for drivers in the wichita area. After getting to the interview finding out what all there offering, we get down to buisness. They are running all brand new condos which to me is a red flag that screems youll be sleeping in that thing alot. So the not so hot part of the deal. I would be running a hundred mile radius of shattuck,ok wich is close to woodward which is a hell of a long way from wichita. You work six days on two days off which truck is to be parked at terminal on days off. So i would have to drive personal vehicle home which i figure is a good four hour drive one way. They didnt tell me any of that in the hiring process over the phone. So the rest of the story sounds great pull between three and four loads a day and a $100 a load. They claim i will make based off there ft worth drivers between 75 and a 100K a year. Ya i know sounds to good to be true, so i had to ask with making that kind of money why are you having a hard time finding drivers. They said do to the csa and driving records they cant find enough quality drivers in the woodward area. Sounds like if you lived there it would be one heck of a living. So with all the ifffy stuff i decided to decline the offer. Just wanted to share that info. Crop Jocky
Big John Thanks this. -
Seems like they should have said have to live within so many miles of woodward. It's hard to get people to come to SW kansas or OK panhandle.

Not for sure how busy Maalt is but you can make $50k to $70k a year depending on what your hauling but you put in 70 hrs a week and then you get your restart and go again. I have some friends that haul crude and a top driver can make 90k plus with the right company. Your looking at $16 to $22 and hour driving wages for tankers, belly dumps and rig movers depending on the company and what your hauling. Top driver at one rig movin company makes $25 an hour. With CSA and driving records and then you have the drug testing issues it is just hard to find good drivers plus a lot of safety rules and regulations you have to deal with and I am sure that scares off a bunch. I can add two more trucks and drivers right know but for those reasons and the high cost of Oklahoma Workers Comp Insurance I will remain a one truck operation.
Do you contact the company I sent you a pm on? -

Anybody know of any good companies in Eastern Missouri or Southern Illinois? I don't have any hopper experience but plenty of end dump exp.
I'm sick of Beelman being the only game in town around here and I'm not intimately involved with the agriculture business so I don't know any of the outfits. -
I've been getting a few faxes and emails offering up loads lately too. Gosh, are those loads FINALLY starting to sit awhile? -
Anyone with a dump interested in working sold for 20-days or so in Central IL? $70/hr plus fuel. It's around the clock work so should be able to get as many hours as you want. Email me at bill@farm2fleet.com and I will send you contact information.
