This right here... ^^^^
This is what makes me shake my head and the reason I haven't pulled the trigger to come to JBS yet. I'm sure it's not easy to do, but it is entirely possible to run the wheels off those trucks running their own product before passing the scraps to the subs. There really shouldn't be any JBS trucks sitting at all.

BTW, whoever was sitting in the I85 "parking lot" trying to run north out of Charlotte today in the Pete, sorry you had to experience that, if you hadn't before. Rush hour on I85N in Charlotte is always a mess.

I can tell you why... is elogs, nobody wants to admit this but it is true, an dosent mean companys that arnt on e logs are running 2 log books or cheating (big time) there is a little window in there MOST dot will give on paper... an on elogs its GONE, is true a GOOD driver can run 3200 to 3600 max legaly a week, but look at it thru there point of view... not ever driver can and you have , shipper an rcvr delays burning the 14...it is mayhem for them ....thats why , so much time on loads, AND hard for them to get loads, with there hands tied..... All companys say they are dispatching legaly, an in there eyes an a caculator they are,,,,,, BUT when push comes to shove an ever mile an minute is documented, IT ALL CHANGES, TRUE someday everbody ever company will be on them,,, and when that day happens, the solo otr driver is pretty much done , it will all be regional an teams running the long ones or alot of SWAPS, a solo driver wont run any time sensetive loads more than 400- 500 miles... AN ITS REALLY SAD

I have always belived that a company should take care of the people who take care of the company. I have been with JBS for 9 months, And dont get me wrong, It seems like us drivers, who work odd hours, deal with rude, slow recievers and loaders, drive into places that this 74'-6" tractor trailer should not go, not getting home on time, ect. Everyone in this company has a job to do. and why does it seem like the drivers are the end of the line, but we do the dirty work. All I ask for is to keep me moving with miles so I can make money.
Please answere this question, do the plants and custmer service, load planners communicate with each other at all, or do all of the loads out of the plants go on a load board?
One simple change that could save money and possibly create some would be to let us drivers use the scales at the plants, like we do in Hyrum. Have the equipment why not use it. $9.50 a scale ticket x ???? loads = ???????. not to use all the time, just when it is needed.Jarhed1964 Thanks this. -
I don't see the E log being the problem. For Me Since I've been here. We/or I had the same type of loads. I even wondered why people got mad when they took away the 68mph because all you would do is get there a few minutes quicker to sit all day and wait for them to unload.
For example b4 the Elog b4 the reduction of speed I would get a load out of Greeley that went to Omaha. Mt there and go to grand island and pick up a load that went right back to omaha but for the next day. We use to get short haul pay but I think they cut that out. Or I would be in Green Bay and get the N.Baltimore Oh load. It is a drop and hook, but they wouldn't have you pp. Then they would give you the scotts fertizler to Aurora load which had good miles but you would have to sit in Aurora till they take it because they wouldn't take it early.
Also trying to get a load dropped in Greeley to keep moving took an act of congress, unless they had overbooked loads and would send out messages to people if they were in the area to drop their broker load and take a meat load.
They use to DH us like 6 to 800 miles which I think finally kicked them in the butt when they seen how much money they were losing. I would get those dh's when it was icey. I remember dh from PA all the way to MN pork plant. I was like I passed up 3 plants I could of went to souderton, green bay, or the plainwell plant. Thank God I only had to deal with the icy roads thru pa, and most of ohio I think.LadyDriverCO Thanks this. -
they were a very new company then they had to establish there self to get loads,,,,,an now ? dosent matter, as long as you guys are happy there an making a living thats all that matters,we all have our own opinion...but most meat loads move alot faster than 300 to 500 miles a day, i been hualn meet for over 10 yrs,an never set as much as i did last 4 months, but to each there own
LadyDriverCO, hazmat777 and Jarhed1964 Thank this.
