If the KONI truck shock cost anywhere as much as a race car shock no truck driver here would buy them. The last time I priced a KONI race shock they were $1200 per shock.
Do I need new shocks on the truck, will it ride better?

Nah, not here, can't remember exactly what they cost cos I get them installed from new but it's about 30% more expensive than normal shocks I think, def not 1200 each

how is to drive with this road shocks .somebody tell me is the best shock for a 18 wheeler
-
In my eperience it KONI only because it's the best I've ever tried , def a good shock and a safe bet, they usually last me the life of the truck and our roads are bad ! I don't know anything of SV but Lenny is usually on the money when it comes to advice, ROADKINGS I just can't tell you, You may not go too far wrong with any of these

They made extra heavy duty shocks for Finnish operators when we drove a lot to Russia in the 80s and 90s. Normal shocks lasted maybe 3 months, SV for years.98989 and Scania man Thank this. -
I won't say that they are the best shock. If your heavy or drive rough roads they are excellent. Very pricey though. If the application doesn't call for a SERIOUS shock than they could be a little much. -
Are you a company driver? I was asking because I wasn't sure if a company driver could add/remove OEM and Aftermarket parts?

If it's any help I got front airsuspension on my truck, it feels slightly floaty but u get used to that pretty quickly but the ride is unbelievable, I know we got full 4 point cab suspension here but the ride improvement is very noticeable over a truck with sprung front suspension -
One of my RoadKings just started leaking with less than 2 weeks of use. RoadKing will repair under warranty but I have to spend $55 to ship it back and be without for however long this takes. This is not why I spent the $2000 in the first place.
I've had good luck with Koni's on my car and would be curious to hear more from anyone who's used them . -
I use Koni's, I have them put in with every truck when new, they do make a comfort difference and last a long time. I'm not sure exactly what they cost because I get them with the truck when new but it's nowhere near $2000 , I usually keep the trucks for 5 years and only once have I replaced a single KONI and our roads are really crap , they are a good shock and not too expensive, I would recommend them!
