Well....any way....I beg to differ. -
@ JLIND
Sorry to hear that they aren't hiring out of Fl. anymore. They are a good company and are self sustaining due to the fact that they haul their own companies freight. Hard to get to low of miles when your hauling all that meat. My husband is actually complaining because they have him backed up with one or two loads before he has even delivered the first one. LOL! I haven't heard that complaint in a long time.
I also think this is the first company that he has ever had a nice thing to say about his DM. She is always thanking him for taking a load if it's tight on time and she's gives out plenty of praise when deserved. She makes her guys want to bend over backwards for her.
Any way I hope you find a better company to work for than the one you're at.
Oh! Like I said we've only been there for a month so we're still in the honeymoon phase of it. We'll see how it pans out in the next couple of months.jlind Thanks this. -
Lessors sucks you will see all newbies get all the miles when your 90 days is almost up things will change. They don't hire from Fl anymore (if this is true) cause nobody will work for them they have gone through the labor pool here

You know something sounded alittle too good to be true when lessor called me. i glad now that i didnt go to work for them
workinman1962 Thanks this. -
There is also a company that uses their yard and name, blue Cascadia's and some older KW and WS. They do produce out of south Fl. lots of fish loads to, usually straight up to Wis/Mn and then whatever back down. They use Lessor's name and DOT/MC numbers but are a seperate company, at least in some aspects! They will keep you runnig but they do multi pick/del so be ready to shuttle back and forth to get your load on and off. I hear they pay better then Lessor's too but can not confirm it.
Just saying.... -
I think they are Larry's trucks....the former owner of the co that lessors bought out in Dover. He is the lead disp. at Lessors in Dover.
jlind Thanks this. -
WM, I thought they were based in Minneapolis area but I can't say for sure, from what the recruiter told me several months ago they did a partial orientation here then got you a load north where you would finish out paperwork, meet the bosses and stuff and keep moving on unless there was something on the truck that needed attn... It didn't fit for what I look for in a company so...
Lessors on the other hand has always sounded less appealing! -
yup they are they have a shop in Dover Fla. They tell you one thing then do another....typical...
jlind Thanks this. -
Still here, I decided to stay. This year and last year I made over $50,000. I couldn't justify leaving after I went through the numbers, and going somewhere else leads to uncertainty with wages. I will say its not a perfect company by far, but it's worked for me for the last couple years. The health insurance sucks, we are now on E-Logs, and Some of the BS in Florida gets to be too much, but, we have new equipment, trucks and trailers, almost every load out of Minnesota is over 1,000 miles and they are equipped with tripacks and 1800 watt inverters. They are not perfect and Florida can be crazy to deal with. It's not for everybody but they have been fair to me.
