In orientation I was told that team drivers that take their breaks right can run indefinitely, without ever needing a 34hr reset.
Unfortunately, the guy didn't bother showing us the math on the board.
I've played with hours all I could and still haven't come up with a valid way of running non-stop without running out of hours.
So, if it is doable, can someone clue me in on the math?
Thanks

You can run out of hrs running team. By breaks, they mean waiting to unload or load or knowing for instance you will "live" unload and need to adjust your driving and maybe take a few hrs off prior to arrival. Teams can run hard, but need to have truck serviced, shower, eat, paperwork etc. just like solos.

9×7=68 you work 9hrs a day your teammates works 9 a day = 18 hrs of trucking other 6 hours you play big rig trucking video game at the truck stop= 24hrs of trucking and never running over your 70

And on the 8th day you have 2 hours each.. It is 70 hrs in 8 days.THBatMan8 Thanks this.

Its possiable but very hard to do, work only 8.75 hrs each day per driver & you will never run out of hrs.
Personally I would rather run full days then take a 34, you can actually run more miles & work more hrs on the 8th day by taking a reset than by using the recap. -
Bull SHEET a team can never run out of hours. I ran team BEFORE the blessed 34 hour reset came out and there was plenty of times my father and I were both Slamming 70 for a couple days when we had hot loads. We had weeks were it was not unusual for us to do 7500-8K in a week and by the end of that week it was OH CRAP in the log book department. Try running a Southern route load via Elp[aso from Avon NY with Cool whip to Stockton get there go to Salinias and 48 hours later your back in Greencastle PA with Fresh Express Salads. Then get unloaded back to Avon and try to get back to Stockon before Payroll cutoff with another load out of there. We made it and had to sit and wait for HOURS. Check was nice but man we were Tired after that week. Our truck when we would get home would go YES a break when it got shut off. 1st truck we got as a Team was a 97 Pete 379 with 200K on the clock when we climbed out of her 6 months later to get our Brand new one she was sitting on 350K. When I my father had to quit teaming with me 2 months later our new truck already had 55K on her. That give you a clue how had we ran. This was Before we had a Reset option on the Logs.
