I am trying to find out some information for my husband. He is a owner operator with a salt water truck that he is looking to put to work in West Texas. I was wondering if you could recommend a company or two who are looking for Owner Operator trucks.

does anyone know, are any of these companies willing to help with moving expenses?
I'm currently tanker yanker in SW KS, produced water and such. I have very little experience, but willing to work if someone give me a chance. -
I haven't seen any willing to pay relocation yet in TX. I believe I have seen a couple in ND that will provide temporary housing and after six months pay some relocation.
I don't believe they are having a hard enough time finding drivers in TX to offer too much extra. The rates and additional things offered in ND reflect more of a drivers market there. -

Schneider oil field division is the only one that I have seen that mentions relocation assistance. You may have already looked into their positions. Some in Oklahoma----Midland--South Texas---and Cleburne, which is closer to my area and near DFW. You should be eligible per their ads.msfern29 Thanks this. -
I've been successful getting some drivers hired on w/ my company in Midland/Odessa. They won't offer any relocation assistance but they do pay for your own hotel room. If you're interested send me a pm and I will respond within a day or so....good luck -
Why would anyone go to work for Schneider inthe oilfield? They are paying $15,000 - $25,000 less than you should earn.
Companies like this will be very hard on rates and wages.trucker43, msfern29, groundpounder and 1 other person Thank this. -
You are probably right BigJohn54. I think the reason some might go to work for them is they are advertising possible employment for new trucking school grads. Some of the others may be willing to take a few newbies on but I haven't seen any ads promoting that.
Might help keep rates up if the others would. -
Only losers will apply with a company like Schneider who will drive driver pay down to the leftovers they pay the rest of their fleet. They need to be driven out of one of the last areas of trucking they haven't helped ruin.BigCheese, groundpounder, Tractor7127 and 3 others Thank this.

That's pretty strong to say..
I don't think people are worrying about that when they're actually trying to get work.If you're jobless and just got your license all the other companys are saying they need atleast a year or two. Then Schneider says we will take you... what's to be done ? 1 beats 0 correct ?
