Let me start with this. I am not avertising with this post, My full intent is to get feed back to inprove my Owner Operator recuiting.

I'll give ya some back ground on me I started Driving in 98, Bought my first truck in 2003, My father and I now own 8, and in 2006 I joined with a large company to open my own terminal and I'm currently run right around 24 trucks total. I now have more fieght than I can move and I also have been Hit by several other larger companies to run their freight as Power Only or strait up Broker it.

I have advertised all over and I am Getting a steady flow of guys signing on but I still need more. So here is my questions:

This is what I Offer and does it compare to others
81.5% of truck gross (to owner)
    Next day Pay
    40% fuel advance
    Fuel card
    Tag program
    Ifta, and Insurances
    Tag program
    Rider program
    Saftey bonus
    Flexable home-time

    What matters most:
    Freight?
    Sign on bonus?
    Years in Buisness?
    Benefits?

And is There anything I am missing?

    Thanks for any Feedback.

Your program sounds pretty normal, but when you say plate program, what does that mean ? Do you pay the plates or simply do a deduct from each settlement ? Freight does matter, as you know, drivers want easy in and out at shippers/consignees, right ? Minimal deadheading, easy communication with management, feeling like part of the family, so to speak. And lanes, we want the lanes we want, not the lanes you give us, so that means some drivers won't be happy leased on to your company, no matter how friendly you are and how much freight you have.

Well I'm primarilly a flatbed company and you know how loading and unloading can be (sometimes quick and easy sometimes not), Tags well you are correct we just finace the tag we deduct pay for them ($100 a week), Deadhead 150 miles or less, Lanes well that is always diff. with each driver I know where my feight is best but I can run or work just about anywhere (less the far west).

One more question where is a good place to advertise and does trucker forum have an advertising package
