    1.3:1 is great. Anything less than 2:1 is usually good enough you can't tell the difference. I'm happy at 1.5:1 and under any day. The only time I've ever got a good flat SWR is with a 102" steel whip.

    i had an 102 on my previous truck but i messed the threads up in the nut and i had an hell of an hard time trying too get that nut of the end of the whip so i just trashed it...

    I've seen a few 102" whips on trucks, but never ran one myself.
