Prime? It's an industry-wide problem. Most carriers try to ignore it.

No, IP. They don't ignore it. They have specific procedures in place to address it. Just because other carriers don't over react to every incident like Prime does, doesn't mean things are ignored.

That's not what I've heard from some folks at CRST for instance.

    That wasn't over-reaction IMO.

Of course not. You weren't affected by it.

Considering the nature of what happened to bring on the hiatus, IMO it wasn't over-reaction. Perhaps it went on too long, but a total shutdown of female students and male (dirtbag) instructors was warranted.

It was a single serious dirtbag male instructor. Prime over reacted by penalizing all female students and most male instructors. By reacting the way they did, they called every male instructor a dirtbag rapist. The assumption was made, by taking this action, that all males were of the caliber of the animal who took advantage of women. As a guy, I would be singularly offended at being called a rapist by proxy. But, the men are oddly silent on this...and some are even calling each other rapists, without actually saying the words, but by insisting men cannot be trusted to train women.

I am, frankly, stunned by the direct attack on each man's honor here and even moreso by the lack of defense on the part of honorable men. Is this silence an indication that we have none among us? I, for one, cannot bring myself to believe that. But...where are the men who would defend their own honor?

You're a man. And you sit back accepting this horrible accusation. Then, that not being enough, you underscore it with your own comments. Wow.

I have no idea if people try to sexually harass or are sexually harrased by gay or lesbian people.

My point is if Prime feels that sexual harassment is a serious enough problem to enact a corporate wide policy to adress it, what steps are they taking to prevent it across the board. Seems to me if a woman is banned from being trained by a male there at a minimum should be a ban on an openly gay man training another openly gay man.

Further if they have gay trainers why preclude them from training females unless Prime believes the urban myth all women want to straight a gay man.

It has to be applied across the board or it is illegal under equal protection.

Yes I know that is the height of silliness. But that is kind of my point. While I agree Prime should have the right to set their own policy, they should be made to apply it across the board. If they are going to treat any of their employee's as hormonaly overcharged teens incapable of self discipline it must be applied to all their employee's.

Kind of hard to defend an attack on my or any other males honor that has no affiliation with Prime or any affiliates. People have lots of strange notions that cause them to hold beliefs about entire sexes, races, classes, and religious ideology.

I have not the time nor the inclination to defend myself from any of those beliefs. Far easier to make a choice of dealing with people holding those flawed beliefs or not.

I'll make that a little clearer. Just because someone has a belief about who or what I am does not necessarily warrant a response from me. I am no rapist and see no reason to defend myself or any other from such a charge.

I dont see this as an attack on my honor. I see it as a company trying to protect itself from litigation from ruthless ambulance chasing attorneys. Looks like it didnt work though. No matter what they do, If they are big enough of a company to look like they have some cash, someone will sue them for something.
