I'm guessing this is recent. And since the car you hit had the right of way, things are not looking good for you. Keep applying, you may have to try a smaller company.

Dude he merged unto the interstate and hit a car with his trailer tandems. Thats a major accident.

if he was merging 100% his fault....
if he was turning left, and the car hit the tandems, the car driver was not paying attention...

I think we're probably missing some information here.
What was written was, "the accident happen when i made a left turn to get on the interstate". While the grammar is a little unclear, it sounds to me like this might have been a left turn across a four lane divided highway, not an interstate.
But whether it was this, or if it was an interstate on-ramp merge, a driver would be hard pressed to show this accident was not a driver error.
If there were injuries involved, or (I hope not!) fatalities, then the driver's company probably faced a severe amount of liability. It's not uncommon for a driver to be fired after such an accident.
Frankly, the only advice I can think of is to keep applying with smaller companies who are in need of drivers. -
You probably want to talk to a lawyer Dannyboy. When you do do not leave anything out or try to put it in the light most advantageous to you. I"m not judging or saying you are glossing anything over, but remember that if you get a lawyer, you are asking him to help you, he is on your side and anything you tell him is in total confidence (by law and his ethics rules). If you paint it most favorable to you and he learns something you've been hiding once he's in negotiations or court, he wil have a hard time responding. So if you choose to get a lawyer tell hime every detail, especially the stuff that make you look bad and at fault. That way he can prepare for that stuff coming up and can respond.
This is not legal advice and I am not your lawyer. This is for information only. I no longer practice law and am not current on legal issues. Do not rely on this advice for any purpose. it is worth axactly what you paid for it (NOTHING).
