I need to go ahead and get my ham license. Have several friends that have been after me for years to do so. Went to a couple of classes once put on by the local club. The two meter thing interests me.
-
I am on 11 meter only. I have an export 10 meter (connex 4600 turbo) but don't use the 10 meter side of it. But it sits on a shelf in the bunk since my cobra 29 and palomar do all I need, and then some, as of now.
-
I use some of the channels outside the legal 40 sometimes so I run all export radios in the truck and pickup. One good reason to get a ham lic. would be if you ever got hassled for the "10 meter" Connex, Galaxy, etc, at least you could produce a license for it.
-
I run both ham and CB. Thinking about just letting the last bit of my CB gear go and investing in more ham gear. It seems there's no one on anymore to talk to.
-
CB here, don't have a ham, not licensed
-
I use band C: 32-40 Band D: 1-26 including: 3A,7A,11A,15A,19A
-
Then you can just show your radio Police badge! Way to go Mike the Radio Cop!
-
FM radio is my favorite, no one argues with me when I use it.
-
Well now I didn't make one, although I thought they were pretty humorous.
