hey just got a new truck and I am trying to hook up my cb. The problem is the old truck had positive and negative wires for the power. This new truck doesnt. All it has is a green and a white wire that are connected to a plug. Is this the power supply cord or what. If it help the new truck is a Internatinal.

Your only hope is to invest in or borrow a $20 voltmeter from Radio Shack and measure it.

Be especially wary of 24 volt systems which, I think, most big trucks have somehow. The very last thing you want to do is apply 24 volts to any mobile CB... poof will be the result. I assume trucks have a 12V power bus system, but am not sure if or how this is done. Perhaps someone in the know can add that detail to this thread. Anyone?
