can't tell you the fine, but the CSA points will be...1 point, multiplied by 3 = 3 points on him now...

He got lucky. I have seen Ga. OOS a driver until he went and got a medical card or one was faxed.
Technically your license is not valid if you do not have a medical card. well uintil next year then the states will tie your CDL in with your medical like the illegal truckers get to. -
I've also seen where a driver has been written up because he didn't have it on his person. Had to go back to the truck to get it, officer wrote him up for not "producing it on demand".
Also, don't keep your old one and confuse the two. We had a driver do that a couple months ago, gave the LEO the old one instead of the new one. Even though he produced the new one later, the citation still held.
Dot your I's and cross your T's folks. It's gotcha time with the enforcement community these days and little inconsequential things now produce citations and CSA points that follow you around like a love sick puppy. -
Here in Colorado it is required to have your medical card before the DMV will even give you your CDL-A . Also when your pulled over it is one of the questions they ask "license, registration, insurance" in a 4 wheeler, they ask these questions including medical card.. I suppose w/o it, it can be pretty hefty as DOT/police pretty much assume all drivers know you should have it no problem.

Yes, the card must be on your person. In your wallet for example.
Having it in the rig is NOT GOOD ENOUGH.......
I was shooting the #### with the DMV girl one day and we got to chatting about this. The fine (she told me) was steep. I don't know about that, cause I always carry it laminated/folded in my wallet.
I also keep a copy in the rig. The larger sized one... -
In Ohio, they notify you by mail of a $100 "civil" fine.Doesn't show on your MVR,but if you don't pay, your CDL gets yanked.
