I think i was like the last from florida, just made it. So far so good

 

Anybody know the procedure for off duty driving. I really never paid attention to it. Do I just call dispatcher and get somebody's name, and then text safety or something.

Was suppose to be loaded out of marshalltown @ midnight and its 12 and still no load, and my stomach is restless. If I have to do a bunch of trying to call dispatch I'll just walk to the washout and get a dusty candy bar or something. Been here 23hrs and counting. Good news is detention pay

Was told to contact DM and you must drop your trailer...then you ONLY have 1 hour total...so make it snappy LOL!!!

 

LOL Called him he was like what you doing a 34 restart I said no not really. I'm waiting on my load to get ready. He did say send a free form message to safety as well. They just brought a JBS trailer in. Maybe its mine ..... or the other 4 drivers who are waiting.

My luck I'm going to get full and sleepy and then my load will be ready. Choices, choices choices.

 

I'm heading out to Greeley Colorado for orientation this week , all i can hope its better than Transam ! My but still hurts from that one ! after just 4 months out on the road and the last 14 months here at home ill be starting over and looking forward to the road again, hopefully ill be able to send a minimum of $800 home after training to pay the mortgage at home on this job to keep my family in the house. Got ready @ 3:30 11 hrs of detention not bad. Anybody know how much detention pay is anyway? Time to get my roll on. Yall be gravy baby

 

$10 hr...max of 10 hrs a day...so $100

 

Thats why I always drop my trailer and bobtail down to the truckstop till they call me and tell me my load is ready!
