Keep your wits about you. Seperation after 12 years has got you all messed up. But don't let it tank you. Abandonment on your DAC is a serious thing and not even most bottom feeders will hire you. Take some of the other posters advice. Get your hotel money back. Give them your notice then say good bye.
Hope you can work things out with your Ole Lady but if it doesn't just remember that there is alot more fish in the sea.
Good Lucktdcanterbury67 and mtnMoma Thank this. -
If you're going to get a new job, do it before leaving so you don't give them the chance to ding your DAC...I think that's where many mess up, they quit without a new job lined up and wonder why they can't get hired after the POS company trashes their DAC...I always thought that was common sense but I've been proven wrong many times from I read here...
JimTheHut Thanks this. -
Always know that a bad dac can hurt you trying to get a new job but it is regulated by the buro of consumer fair credit reporting act and can be removed Plus companies don't like o mess with a federal agency it scares them pretty good, but it's gonna take awoke

I feel ya man! Thursday before last I quit my job which was a local driving job. I had been there coming up on 2 years in the spring. I never had an accident or any type of safety incident the whole time I was there. In all the years of my working life it was the most aggravating job I have ever had. I was constantly fussed at about something continuously. The last week I was there the supervisor followed me around for awhile and when I got where I was going, got out of his vehicle and fussed and raised his voice because I didnt use my turn signals to make lane changes on a state hwy. That was the icing on the cake for me. Ever since I was there it was one thing after the other such as that. It did not matter that I had never had an accident or was a good employee that got along with everybody. I walked in on a Thursday and told my supervisor I was gonna finish my shift that day and I was done for good and I had had all I could take of the negativity and constant complaints over stupid stuff. He wasnt happy for the day notice and said he hated to loose a good employee that was dependable and I said you should have been saying that all along instead of complaining about what color socks I had on.-by the way that was a complaint one time. WHEN YOU HAVE HAD ENOUGH, YOU'VE HAD ENOUGH. I am so much happier since I left that job and all the headaches I was getting from it have disappeared.
If you feel its time to leave Werner, I would go for it. I would probably go at it with atleast a notice unlike my self b/c im sure Werner uses DAC services as my company I was with did not. I also had another job the whole time so once I left this one I am currently working at my other which I do enjoy. -
Went through this in 2004...I was still driving and contemplating a job change when my wife tells me she "doesn't want to be married anymore" during a phone call I made from the road. Lost somewhere over 20 pounds in two weeks, and it was all I could do not to lose my mind and make a serious error. I elected not to go home until I settled down. My driver manager at the time was also a tremendous help to me.
Of course now, it has turned out to be the best thing for me (and for her, to be honest). But, man-o-manoshevitz....it took a lot of effort and family support to get out of that funk.
I wish you nothing but the best, friend, in both your professional and personal life.Hanadarko Thanks this. -
Dam...thats cold. Sorry man....seems like you dealt with it thought..
Sometimes I wish my wife WOULD say that.
..wait. Did I say that out loud? - That was supposed to be my inside voice talking...
48Packard Thanks this. -
At first, I was shocked. But after the screaming, yelling, and crying, I realized this marriage had been going downhill for some time (we were married 17 years). Change doesn't come easily, though, so those first couple of weeks were pretty cluttered with some pretty negative and destructive thoughts.
But my wife now....I couldn't ask for any better. -
No offense to the OP but i have to ask, would you have been mad if you worked for a good company that paid you for those 8 hours on the side of the road?

Good thing she does not get on this board likes other wives do!
