Can anyone give me some insight into Tandem Transport out of Michigan City Indiana? I am curious about the run of the mill information such as:
--Op area?
--home time; every weekend or 3 out of 4 weekends a month?
--what loads (commodities) do they deal with?
--does the company listen to the driver or just don't care?
--how do they get you to orientation; bus, train, car?
Anything useful would be appreciative.
Any new info on Tandem?

I currently work for Tandem. So far, I have had extremely good pay (by the mile loaded and empty), and have been home every weekend and some during the week. The dispatchers are very cooperative. Orientation was four days. They paid for a rental car for me to get there and back and I live in NC. They have rooms to stay in on-site.

I sure appreciate the comeback terrancraig. What type of commodities do you guys deal with? Much in the way of steel? Are you allowed on toll roads if needed?

Tandem transport is very misleading. tell u paid vaction and six paid holidays. well if u want them they take a penny a mile from u and at the end of the year u get $600 vacation

For vacation and 600 4 holidays. the first 6 loads since starting none were over 300 miles. this is otr. if u quit w in frst 6 months thy keep 2 cks or $1000
