problem is werner does not use the dac system they will send any info on you thru the safety/past employment verfication form that companies use. I had three incidents (low speed backing), my first year driving didn't get fired for them stayed with werner for another year and half nothings on my dac from them,( thank GOD for it) but they show incidents on verfication form when other employers send form over.

w/ that incident you might have trouble getting another job,and werner wouldnt hire you back if you find that out AFTER you have alrdy quit.

always have a position lined up 100%, BEFORE you quit.

I'm just tried of the constant weeks with nothing. This isn't just one incident. The very first truck I got had to go from Dallas to OH to get sold, the day I got it. But that wasn't the real problem, it was the jerking I got on the way there. Of course the truck isn't going to go straight to OH, gotta get bounced around in PA first.

Finally get a truck in OH. Nice. But instead of heading straight for the account, I get into the truck to find out the gauges don't work. Sit for two days, get the truck going and I'm shagging little runs around OH for three days. Finally get to the DC to start account, and after two weeks my truck gets sold, again. Waste time on a road test because of a hard brake while bobtailing. Turn in the truck they give me with 500,000 on it for another with 75,000 on it. Great, good to go. Although the thing was trashed when I got it. And on and on we go. When I switched accounts (my choice) I waited a week for another truck. Saw no problem with the one I had. But this one has an APU, so that's really cool. But the mirror buttons don't work and the qualcomm thinks I'm moving when I'm not. The registration was also four months past due. Whatever. I'll deal. Get fixed what I can. It has 498,000 too.

And now this happens. My screw up was a week ago at 10:30 tonight. I like the account, but this entire experience has been crap, crap and more crap. I don't mind driving a truck, at all. And with this whole separation thing, I have no problem doing OTR again.

But yeah, I messed up that bumper. My fault.

    all their drivers?

Yeah lane change accident are a big deal especially if I would have been in a tractor trailer but since what I was driving I could have gotten by with a class C license I didnt take lane changes as serious. I always used my signals anytime I maneuvered or made any turns in a semi. How many four wheel vehicles really use signals to make lane changes. I got it though, point taken. Thanks:biggrin_255:

None of them. And nothing pisses me off more.

The turn signal (aside from the brake lights) is the most important tool in "communicating" with other drivers around you, on your intentions of your next move.

Especially if I have to make a left turn onto a four lane road/highway. For the love of God it is hard enough to get going in a loaded truck....but if you help me out, and give me enough 'notice' that you will be turning.....I have a much better chance of getting out there, and turned safely.

    My BIGGEST pet peeve ever!

I'm a werner driver, they trained me, gave me my tractor.I'm doing my job. If I find greener pastures I'll leave. Driving a truck sucks, but its also so cool! I drove for Swift and for a WINDY company. It's the same.

Yeah I know what you mean. I ALWAYS use my signals when making lane changes in front of a tractor trailer and I normally if possible leave about a tractor trailer length before getting back over in front of them. That is one thing that aggravates me is when people pass you and get back over, I don't understand why people have to cut so close in front of your vehicle, I always try to leave plenty of room whether it is a semi or 4 wheel vehicle. I don't see the hurry in getting back over whether someone is behind you or not.
