I've been in a roll over accident because of icy roads, our propane bill is huge every winter, I hate snow. I'll take heat over snow any day.:biggrin_25519:

I lived in Michigan most of my life and now live in FL. SC can be pretty warm and humid in the summer, but you do get a pretty good change of season in SC. The dead of winter will be about the same as Michigan in Oct. Only about 3 real hot months in the summer and endless fall and spring the rest of the time. I predict you wil like SC. Very nice folks, but plan on being called a Yankee, until you learn to speak properly. You've probably never noticed that people in Michigan talk with a nasal whine, but you will notice it after you live in the south a few years, then visit north. We used to call Northern Michigan 10 months of winter and 2 months of bad sledding. Where in Michigan?

I've lived in Bay City, Cheboygan, Acme (near Traverse), Rapid City and Alpena. Don't get me wrong, Michigan is a great place to live. If you like snow and cold. Living in Northern MI most of my life there's nothing more I want than for my kids to go trick or treating without their winter jackets.:biggrin_25517:

I love Michigan and still have a cabin between the Soo and Newberry. I love it up there between June and November. I sold my snowmobile 5 years ago and never go up after Deer season anymore. You have lived in some beautiful spots in Michigan and should enjoy visiting there in the future. I think you'll like SC though.

I have lived in SC for 29.92 years now and can tell you the seasons blend together a lot these days. I am not saying it is not nice here but in the middle of the state it is not my pick of places in the state to be. Up country or low county would give you the most in weather change.
