Ive read about Arnold in the DAC reports section and they sound like a decent company. I would like to get more input on this company if possible. They are one of the companies that hires out of the Vo-Tech school I am attending and since I have been denied by Roehl and dont meet Crete's criteria, Id like to see about Arnold. Any info is much appreciated! TIA~

I ran Southwest regional for Arnold out of Grand Prairie Tx for a while they were a good company but I hear that most of that has changed with USX making more and more decisions in the daily operating process but when I was there most regional drivers were home on weekends and could avarage 2000-2200 miles a week, was'nt a whole bunch for me but more than enough for others. Management at some terminals were quite iffy at best after the merger. But overall they were good.

I've worked as an o/o and company driver for several large and some small companies, and I have found that more than not their all about the same. They all operate mostly the same equipment, run the same freight lanes, and haul C.H. Robinson (That's"Cheap,Heavy,Robbing-sons")loads. the only differences between most of them is how many miles they give to each driver, how much they pay the driver for those miles, and how often they get that driver back home.Generally the One differential factor is the people you work with,Their attitude, and the way they treat you.All in all Arnold has'nt done too bad so far. However,USX has just Bought-out Arnold. So we'll have to see how things go from here. Most likely gone is the small company atmosphere and treatment.Welcome to the big time.
panhandlepat Thanks this.
