Well it's official. After all the hoops being jumped and the stress of waiting. I'm in.....
Heading not to Pittston but Springfield for orientation. I am scheduled for the 19th of Oct. Next Wed. Man, I am so happy. My persistance hopefully has paid off. Thanks to everyone on this thread and the other Prime threads that have been helpful and patient with all my questions over the last month. It is because of the group of you and all your posts that made my decision to go with Prime that much easier.

Good luck I will be in Springfield on the 25th. When you are new to an industry it is very difficult to choose which direction to take when choosing a company. To be honest when I first researched Prime there were a lot of negative comments but I soon found out there were many negative comments about all companies seems to be the nature of the business. It was nice to find some positive feedback that also seemed objective. So thanks to all of those on this thread as well as others on the net that have taken the time to help inform others.

I just received my orientation information and in the information it stated you must complete an Integrity Interview as a part of the orientation process. Do not mean to sound stupid but what is an integrity interview??

An interview to determine if you have been honest. If you have lied about anything, they will find out.

For my age, 58 years young, I'm in good health. The straight line BMI data reflects I'm obese by 20 lbs. While it would be my honor to work for Prime, at the end of the day all they can do is send us home.

    I would most likely :biggrin_2553:

Question: Prime has no terminal in my home location (Mountain Home, Idaho) If I were driving for Prime, (After my CDL training and mentoring), and had been out for a couple months, but happen to be going through my hometown, (with say a load in to Boise) could I park my rig at home and take my 7-8 days off? I own property, and security is not an issue.

I believe the max you can take of at any given time (outside of vacation) is 4 days at a time. But yes, you can take the truck with you. There is probably a time frame that would trip a "you wanna what" note, but I'm not sure what that is.

The way I understand it, you let your FM know when you want to go home, and they try to get you there when you want to be there. They look for a delivery close to your house. They then will tell you where to drop the trailer, so it can be used when they need it. Then you take your tractor home for the agreed upon period of time. Don't worry, very few drivers live near a terminal.
