Do I have a gambling problem?

Ever since I started trucking, I began playing more and more lottery, it used to be $5 a week on powerball, and now it's $5 a day, someday maybe more, and whenever I get through Virginia, Kentucky or Georgia, I would play a lot more Decades of Dollars because this game is only available in those states, and each game is $2 and the other day I spent $100 for 50 games, and I only started playing scratch off tickets recently, before that I only play powerball/megamillions, about 3 weeks ago I was in a TA doing my 34 hours reset, I play scratch off tickets, you know the one that you insert the bills in the machine and you press the button for tickets, at first I won some money then I keep on going, I have fantasies of hitting the top prize, those $20 ticket has million dollar prizes, I had like $50 in my wallet and I played and win some tied tickets and some $20 more than the prize of ticket itself, then kept on playing until I lost it all, then I go to the ATM($6 fee and I know it) and get $300 and lost it all, and these days I still play, but not as bad as that day, for example, a $20 here and there every other day on the scratch off, and at least $5 for either powerball or megamillions a day, do I have a problem? I mean I got money and that I'm not starving, I got this dream of hitting the jackpot one day if I kept on playing, or maybe I need some help?

well, if you're in to wasting money you could always just give me the cash and be on your way . I'll take $20 here and there for nothing.

 

I don't gamble at all and neither does anyone in my family. I've been raised to think it's a waste of money. But if you are at the point where you have to ask a trucking forum if you have a gambling problem, I'm going to assume the answer is yes.

Yes, I think you do have a problem. But until YOU realize you have a problem, you will keep on gambling, making some here and there but also losing money, losing time, and who knows what else...

Do a search on Gamblers Anonymous... that may be somehow informative and helpful.

 

Can't believe someone would even post this kind of info. Maybe you should make the same post at the gamblers anonymous website.

 

I think he has realized he has a problem now he just needs to go get the help or just man up and say no.
