Humm, kinda curious.. Seems coincidental that Bowyer quits RCR, goes to Waltrip at the same time this trucking job appears... Just sayin....

I know Clint's dad, Chris, from back in my LEO days.

Why would these million dollar teams screw with an owner operator? Don't trucks usually match the trailers with sponsors and a team operation. My father in law used to drive a hauler for a truck team and every truck was owned by the team or leased from Ryder, Penske etc.....

not all the teams have allot of money. Its cheaper to outsource. The go or go homers barely have enough money to quilify let alone pay for trucks.

I am a small fleet owner.I have come across dealings like this and most require "trailer interchange" and "general liability".If I need to change my insurance to accomodate this, then don't bother.I can supply 4 power units if so...

It's not MWR, I already called them on Friday after I heard Boyer signed. I told my buddy I already have a black truck, all we had to do was put the 5 Hour logos on it, but they've got trucks from Freightliner. (I've got a friend that works in the back, he called me earlier this year about a coach/sponsor driving job, I turned it down, I think it would of been for Pastrana. I just didn't want to deal with it.)

I sent them an email, I'll see what happens. It's gonna have to pay good to cover the insurance and such that you'll need to pull one of those trailers. (Better figure $300,000-$500,000 cargo/trailer.)

This is one of those screwed up jobs where they ask for a driver but driving is 1% of the job. I say this because I can't get out of the truck for any significant time due to handicaps.

Driver needed, must have mover experience....
Driver needed, must have rigging experience....
Driver needed, must have nuclear physics degree....

They are worded wrong (on purpose most of the time) because,
    the other duties are undesirable,
or a driver gets paid less than the other duties....

    They should read,
Mover needed must have CDL A
Rigger needed, must have CDL A

Pit ##### needed, must have CDL & (new)(very shinny) Tractor.
This is fine for an able bodied sort who is willing to work for a low hourly wage or not be a PB and just tag along and enjoy the perks. Not a bad thing for the right individual or someone who has a "paid for" rig and is set for retirement $.

Me, I gotta be home on the weekends to race and a night or 2 to prep the race car, so I can't even do I-5 corridor (maybe this winter in the off season).

    lowjo Thanks this.
