While I appluad you leaving them. Did they not tell you how mileage was calculated when you signed on?
That is my point. Miles can be calculated a variety of ways. When an employee or a contractor signs on he agrees to that method.
I do not care whom gets a bonus, or profit..........

No. They did not tell how they were paying.
They stated that they paid xxx per mile.
The first loads were almost exactly what the miles were.
Over the period of years, I ran several loads to the same locations and began to notice the miles were dropping.
I checked and they had instituted a change to HHG miles.
Not a single company before the one I am at now, ever told me how they were paying up front.
You may not care who gets a bonus or whatever. I care, because they are taking it from me who delivers the load to make their money. -
I do understand it depends on the company as to whether or not they take care of their drivers.
Some will pay you more per mile if they pay HHG and offer up more bonuses and invest it into better equipment.
But others like you mentioned Roadmedic divert that money away from the company and dont take care of their drivers very well.
It will be interesting to see how this case develops and what kind of shakeup it may cause. -
Yeah they made profit's and bonus'. Mean while they front you the money weekly, spend time and resources building a customer base........
But look you found the perfect and only way to stop your contributing to their profits. You left.
But unless you are running your own numbers and your own customers I have some troubling news. You are helping the new company make a profit and bonuses as well. Even worse there partners are probably making a profit off them, may even be some bonuses for selling them tires and fuel and the like. Oh the horror of business. -
Yes?Good on ya'.
No? Go find something else. -
I do not begrudge them the right to a bonus. You missed my point.
They got a bonus by way of removing the income from me, as well as other drivers.
My example is to show that not all companies treat the driver as the one to screw. My company knows that if we decide to not deliver their loads, then they have no business.
Many times I receive a bonus for runs that no one wants to do.
As far as business. I have run several self employed operations and well aware of the risks.
For some reason, you always side with the company in the process of their putting it to the driver.
You really make me wonder if you are a driver or just an office person who claims to be one. -
Really again?
Didn't side with the company, And if you'll look congratulated you on your decision to leave them. However I simply pointed out the only course of action available to any driver who feels slighted. Do not do business with them.
Yeah if they changed calculation midstream, you got every right to say goodbye.
Let's see picture's. Nah I could fake them.
Perhaps my truck number? Nah tried doing that. Children wasted my safety guys time calling in when I highlighted their failures and flaws. Quite a funny story really but another time.
Maybe just to prove I really really really am. A real driver to you I could post the rest area signs every night before I go to bed would that satisfy?
Or I could say I do not give a #### if you believe I drive or not. Find a flaw in my logic instead of looking for which" side" I am on. I have no sides, just a functioning brain and a willingness to state my thoughts. -
Oh good Lord, OOR (out of route) miles are factored in with each load. If you want to get paid for every moment you work, get a desk job at some company. Count beans or something, Trucking is not for people that think bathroom breaks should be covered by the company. Get over it, or get another job.

Of course paying hhg miles is unethical but we are talking buisness here. I will have to ask my friend if they even teach ethics anymore-he teaches a highschool buisness class-I kind of doubt it
