This didn't start as a freakin gun thread, a robbery by Lizard thread and somebody started the bull #### gun laws all over again.
The battle of carrying a gun in a commercial truck will go on forever just like the US Marshall stories. I would never ask a truck driver or anyone on this site for legal advise, I carry one and know the laws in all the states and I would only run in the states that will let me protect myself with my pistola. I have been robbed once at gun point when I was twenty living in Denver and I handed over my wallet he got about three hundred dollars and my drivers license and thank God he didn't kill me.

No not paranoid and I live in a great neighborhood with nice homes but the crack heads and meth monkeys have stole about everything in the hood so they venture out. One think about those kind of thieves is they are never quiet they make enough noise to let you know they are coming and then you do your best Gomer Pyle "Surprise, Surprise".Black_379, grizzly and 7122894003481 Thank this.

SeriouslY? Alcohol burns a little but it ain't gonna stop a determined thief. Besides you pull some stupid shizz like that on me your gonna be 6 feet under. If your gonna pack heat pack heat pretending to pack heat could and most likely would end up a lot worse for you.
What no cucumber too?
Bingo!
And they don't expect a 12 yr old to be able to do the job but they don't realize how us country folk roll do they? We teach them young.
I heard a city cop busting on a sheriff one time because he didn't have to fight real crime out in the sticks. The sheriff laughed at him and told him he should think before he speaks. While the city cop might face a drug addict or thug with a gun from time to time that has probably never shot one, the sheriff will face people that are usually well armed and have been taught how to shoot from a very young age and are usually very proficient with those weapons. I'd say the sheriff had a very good point. I guess the city cop thought so too because he shut up and walked off.7122894003481 Thanks this. -

i hate these people, panhandlers, dad told me , you got two arms and a head, the head better start too think were too work to get money , such as a job, the two arms will help you with that job, i have no time for liers, cheats or anyboby like that, i wacthed a young lady walk up the road , then turn go in the truckstop i was at, hitting all the driver's, when she coming my way , i ducked back in sleeper, knocked on my door , opean the sleeper curtain, yawning like i just got up, her story, she ran out money for her baby diaper's and she was out of gas as she pointed too a car by the truckstop, not even her car, i seen the elderly couple get out of it, i said okay, i told her i havent got paid yet and my check be here tomorrow, and she just pouted and walk away,so when in nashiville , i came up with a plan, i bought two web cams and run to my computer in the truck, i just mount to each mirror bracket and point down toward the steps, soon as they see the cams , they, the women, think its a sting truck for police .

First of all let me say, I carry. I have a .45 on my hip as I type this. I also don't go to NY at all. The reason is, you can not transport a handgun and stop in the state of NY at all, without a NY state firearm permit. They don't issue out of state permits. While I agree it is legal to transport a handgun THROUGH the state of NY, if you stop, you have broken the law and are subject to two years in prison. This is what they got the driver for mentioned in the link earlier.
For all of you who carry dummy wallets and things to appease criminals, what makes you think they won't assault you after getting what they want? If someone pulls a weapon on me, they are trying to hurt me. At that point I will do what is necessary to protect myself.Black_379 and 7122894003481 Thank this. -
Yes i've had guns pulled on me, yes i've been shot at, yes i've pulled guns and yes i shot back. Not only in military but also in Law Enforcement i've also hit criminals over the head (twice) with a mag lite. for anyone who says or has heard that the first time you shoot someone is the hardest think again it's never easy. As for avoiding the criminal type you are only lucky if you do, look up Jason Rivenburg, he was just asleep and they come looking for him. There's no way anyone should carry if they don't feel safe or comfy doing it however those same people shouldn't complain if i or anyone else chooses to carry. i am not saying do something stupid but it's a fraction of a second you get to choose there is no second guessing taking a life and there's definitely no taking back the shot. Best rule i've ever heard when it comes to a firearm if you pull it it's to use it not to intimidate with it.
