In Grand Junction Colorado. Just went over the Vail pass. I don't see why people make a big deal out of it...... on a clear dry road its not bad. The 7% grade was kind of interesting though. Well time for bed, dropping in SLC in a few hours, time to take the 20 straps off (had to add one due to an issue with a piece of dunnage that supports the load starting to lean)

All of the passes are a nice drive on a clear day.

On snowpack and pure ice in a driving snowstorm, I guarantee you'll be butt-clenching that seat cushion coming down a 7% grade. I was coming down Elk Mountain a couple of winters ago... nice cold morning, with a 30-40 mph crosswind - not much of a grade. At 79,000 lbs it was a good ride. The Stevens Transport guy in front of me probably wasn't so happy. He was empty and every time we hit a patch of ice he started sliding sideways... right towards a 300' drop off.

Ah well, as the swabbies say... "It's not a job, its an adventure!"

Clinton TN... stop 1 of 2.

After due diligence, he's going company. Leasing may or may not be in the long term plan. I could tell ya, but then I'd have to feed you to the dog.
