    which companies will hire a driver with a new cdl that only has had usa drivers license only 6 months or less. there has to be more than swift and conventant

    Try some driveaway jobs where you transport Motor Homes or New Semis, I used to run 6 wheel drive Boom trucks from Louisville to Sacremento, ride the train back and do it again...read those contracts no matter who you drive for, Hogan, and the other companies you mentioned try and get you to agree to there CDL Training and then do a Lease, youll never take home a paycheck....there are jobs out there, you may have to look outside your state...

    You're either a newer US citizen or rather young. Are you over 21? You must be at least 21 yoa to drive OTR. I'm guessing the younger age, due to my past. Where I grew up, most everyone had a D/L by the time they were 16. I got my first D/L at 14. It was a restricted, I worked on a farm, but got to drive to and from school, or with another licensed 21 yoa driver in the seat beside me. I was also able to ride a motorcycle.
