I did the similar contract and have turned their collection agent over to my attorney. He's pretty sure that they have violated the contract because the home time failures. He assured me that when he's done, they will most likely be sending me a check just to shut me up....LOL!
Going to USA next week

Wow, we think alike!!! Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm thinking along the same lines. Going to get EVERYTHING documented from orientation on, miles promised(from recruter) & them, my home time, & keep my own logs & pay info. so when I do deciede to do something I'll have enough info to either proceed legally or just be able to handle it on my own.
Again, thanks. Hope wherever you are now is working alot better for you. -
If your under contract just stick it out. Good luck. If your not under USA contract, Go to the other carrier.
rridgeback Thanks this. -
Ya, I'm under there contract. That's pretty much my plans for now. Going to have to stick it out for awhile anyway to see what happens. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Like you said, it is what YOU make of it. First 4-6 months for me weren't to bad, I had to "train" my fleet manager about hometime (among other things). Like notezbngrn71 said, my fleet manager used to count my hometime day as the day I came home... I fought about that the first hometime I had and the second as well (had full hometime both times) and finally he didn't bother me anymore. I would get home anywhere between 10am-8pm and no matter what, that day wasn't counted as hometime. I was only late for hometime once in the year i worked with them.
After that six month mark hit, it slowly went down hill, then when they changed their hometime policy and their QC Macros it just went down hill fast. I also got a new FM then as well which probably didn't help things. I stuck it out until a week before my year, dropped my load at a terminal, cleaned out my truck and left that at the terminal w/ the keys, took my week vacation (with 3+ hometime days), and never returned. They called me asking me where I was... at the time I was in Canada on vacation haha
If you have any specific questions about the company I can try to answer them...Last edited: Oct 16, 2011

Counting down my 365 days as we speak. I get decent miles but i bust my hump and keep my 70 hr clk alive. They will run you like a rented mule, well because basicaly thats what we are. suck it up, time goes fast if you dont think about it. and when you get pissed off and type an angry qualcom message reread it, smile and hit NO dont send. And whats this home thing you speak of, I think i recall something that sounded like that once before I went to C1
