Got a call from Dispatch about noon wanting me to repower a 4 drop load going to New Jersey, The Bronx and Connecticut. LMAO I almost laughed right in the phone lol.
Then he tried to guilt trip me. HAHAHA

 

Another week in the books.... 2800 miles 7.9 mpg.... been driving in the rain and wind for 5 days now... starting to quack like a duck too.

Had a different experience today, as I was cruising along US 11 in Northern New York, random border check points. Never saw that before.

Setting in austinburg oh tonight, headed to Pulaski, TN.

 

Hey guys, it's 91 degrees and sunny here in Lost Wages today. Drop tomorrow at noon, then back to Iowa.

 

Second day waiting here at the yard for the trainer. Hope something happens. Not all that worried about it, there are plenty of guys ahead of me so I can just wait patiently with the rest. Cannot really complain, Im getting paid $50 dollars a day to sit here and use free internet. Dont get me wrong I want to be on the road but I am not about to stir the pot over a few days. Got my first experience of In On The Creek, but that is a whole nother topic...lol. Keep em rollin drivers!!!

 

Well, maybe not, for a while. I am looking into changing departments here at my IT company so I might be challenged a bit more. After crunching numbers over the weekend it doesn't look like a change back to driving is in the cards at this point. May need to wait a few more years. Thanks for the well wishes. I do plan on getting back in a truck, but it will proboaly wait until my wife retires from full time employment and can spend her time in the truck. Too bad I can't get her interested in driving....

 

In the gate unloading at the moment, then heading to St George to offload an overweight truck stuck at the scales, then haul his load to Iowa. already warned that I-80 btwn Laramie and Cheyenne is a mess and getting messier (snow).

Rest up, you're going to need it. Only 3 more days of O2 left for me, I'm exhausted. After 3 months, I'm ready for some home time! Get me home!!!! Lol...
