Oh yeah I have had some weight issues and I deny load as soon as I learn it's a lot more then stated in the details.

I had one in particular that said 19k lbs get there and it's 19k kilos called cancelled load unless they raise rplm they couldn't/wouldn't so I picked another one.

I don't play games this is a business and both sides should be professional in that since. Improper load statement is a NO NO(breach).

I don't know about loads on the board not being available besides y/n in sl or dl column,if you try to assign load that overlaps then you most likely will have to call.

I look at Landstars board all the time and their rates and convenience are way way better then Schneider will probably ever be.

Plus they don't have trucks just freight and trailers, their fuel surcharge is what it should be not .387 which is a joke.

The choice board is more on a sliding scale seems to me I have people working on inside info because there is discrepancy's in their "math" most loads tend to have a percentage attached to them besides our "cut".

I still make money and will continue to do so I know I will either purchase truck or straight finance a new one and leave for landstar unless things change money wise.

I think WE DRIVERS DESERVE HONESTY FROM COMPANIES AND HONEST PAY PERIOD!!! WE ARE SKILLED LABOR,DON'T "SETTLE" FOR ANYTHING DEMAND THIS OR FIND SOMEONE THAT WILL PAY YOU WHAT YOUR WORTH!!!

I TRUST NO WORDS FROM FIRST STRING PUPPETEERS WANTING YOU PART OF THEIR SHOW(RECRUITERS),I'M NOT SOMEONES "DECEMBER" BONUS I'M A PERSON TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING LIKE A LOT OF OTHER DRIVERS OUT HERE. THIS AIN'T "TARGET" EXPECT MORE PAY LESS!! huh*steps down kicks over soapbox, looks up; no strings*:biggrin_25511:

You have access to the BCO board also? I have had access to it for a few months and find it interesting to say the least. There is a lot of cheap stuff on it especially if you want to go west at all. I think all I would do if I went there is run around the midwest. Round trips from Chicago to Atlanta back and forth look appealing because there is good rates going both ways. The person I have access from mainly runs from Ohjo to Laredo and back which I don't think is too wise but it;s their business.

What do you consider "the frame" ?

I currently drive one of the glider kits. Have driven many in the past (other companies). The drive line is the only "old" part on it.

I rolled 60k over this week on the current unit, without a single issue.

Averaged 8.3 mpg over 3400 miles. Loads include water, juice, and scrap paper in the mountains of PA and NY..

I can pick a load out of Wichita,KS to Carlsbad,CA(dead zone) for $9000.00 with a flat bed or step deck can't recall right now just remember the $$:biggrin_25519:
weight was 26k and three day run.

I would hang around Midwest also there board has the destination feature which I really like(shows how many loads available at next destination).

Choice you have to type in location then look and that's part of my domino load search, eats up time original load could be gone by the time you finish checking on "out" loads.

I have a hard time finding loads on choice paying $2.00 a mile but with Landstar its hard not to find loads paying that, also their FSC is what it should be .51-.52 no trucks.

You can lease trailers(step deck, flat, drop deck) then pull what you want.

Several three day runs for $2000+ and return runs it's cool and something I am considering moving to in the future.

Right now I make good money but like I said before I want as much as possible if I'm going to be away from my family.

I am considering buying a new truck and moving over to Landstar by the time a year is up.

Oh yeah Laredo is a grave yard as far as I'm concerned great in but getting out better have your own trailer.

8.3 mpg is awesome man I have been flirting with the 8's for awhile 7.62-7.99 in an old 06:biggrin_25525: Freightliner Century S60 13 without having the injectors done or the pitt power muffler yet,but soon I will be in the eights for the whole trip.

I haven't really checked out flatbed or steepdeck on there at all because I don't have any experience doing that. All I have really looked at is dry van and reefers. Just remember the rate that it shows on there is the gross rate. With dry van using there trailer you only get 65% of what that says. I asked why they don't post the full rate and of course it is because they have different guys getting different percentages.

Man, that muffler is something else. I was due for one anyway, and got that one... Wow! It was like a different truck. Sound was almost the same, but it pulled hills so much better. Average fuel mileage went up six tenths!

That is by far the best bang for the buck for your truck!!! I paid 159.00 for mine and have yet to put it on.

I have been busy running and spending time at home so slacking here, I about had this loop going then the pick up times changed.:biggrin_2551:

Anyway still making money and enjoying the road.

When you get that muffler on, I promise you will wish you had done it sooner!
