Once again Supertrucker Erick the Great, tells everyone how it is. How fortunate we are to have access to your knowledge and sharp wit.

Your husband voluntarily left the truck so its on him to get home on his own. I am curious of why your husband would take anything verbally said to him and think it was gospel. Why would he believe a recruiter telling him he would get 4 days off after 21 days off when a quick check of the website tells you CRST's policy is one day off for every week out. There is absolutely no truth to the claim that you drive the first 200 miles free if empty. Finally I am very curious of how your husband and trainer didn't get a load for a week. Even when freight is light I have never sat more than a day, but that's generally because I have never been late on a load so they are willing to deadhead me quite a distance to get a load because they know I will do my job.

You get lots of miles ALL the time because it's cheap labor.

There is a lot in the OP's post that doesn't add up. I was there for almost 2 years.

As for Malone, all the Malone guys I've run across were happy. They told me you can't be afraid to work though.

Thats what I think it is people don't know how to work anymore they find any and all reasons to through a wrench in to the work.

or have absolutely no since of timing or they have this missplaced entitlement and no hurry-upness.

I owned my own Welding company for 14 years and my biggest problem was peoples with these problems.

Unless your over the age of 35 it seams like you have no work ethics.
    (Unless you where raised right)

I'm in agreement with both of you on this, I spent 9 months with CRST and made the best of it.

They do "use" drivers, but if you do a little research goin in, like I did, you should know there are going to be some difficulties.

I had one bad co-driver, but I also had a good one, I made the best of the situation.

We spent alot of weekends sitting around in truckstop waiting for a load, but I made the best of it.

I didn't whine or complain (except to my wife) I knew you aren't going to start at the top or with the best of companies.

But when I got the opportunity to go somewhere that was better I went and it was better, but there was still things that I had to make the best of.

Maybe when trucks are completely remote controlled and able to be operated through a game controller from the comfort of a couch, then some of these kids will be able to "tough it out."

No i've never been there, I was at werener not to long ago and wow, I was really loosing my sanity there! I hear some good stuff from the crst drivers as well as bad. Mostly just good though, like, there is ALWAYS good quality freight to run. Incredible. They have told me they average a good 600-700 a week after their raise kicks in...not bad considering that every other major carrier (including mine) have trouble keeping their drivers even paid $400.99¢ weekly.
