They seem like a good school and the cost to go there isnt bad ether.
I'v looked on their website and unlike most others they dont have forms to fillout, and state that u have to have an Il. drivers license.

Whats the deal with this ? I live in indiana so they wont take me ? That dosent seem to be an issue with schools in other states. Is it because its in Il. ?

Almost all your schools require you to switch your license over to that state so they can get you your license otherwise they can only give you a diploma to take to your state then you would still have to take the state tests.
You'll get a Ill CDL using the school as your address while your in school. Once you receive your CDL and diploma you'll will then have so many days (60 I think) to switch it back to your home state.
Strangley this is how it has been with all schools for the last 20 years.
I got my CDL 20 years ago in Ohio, though I live in Indiana. My record shows I lived in Ohio for two months with an ohio license. 20 years ago, truck driving schools were 2 months long and several months with a trainer once you signed on with a carrier.

There's a red Star in IL that is a decent company and a blue Star out of Nashville that totally sucks.

I think they are fairly new to the training game. IL has had it's share of CDL problems where about 5 years back a bunch were getting their CDL's illegally through crooked third party testers by bribing them. All them drivers lost their license and had to retest.

Since then, IL has got tough. Even renewals have to do the road test now. I'd say they want to make sure that doesn't happen again and now all new drivers have to be residents.

Part of being an IL resident requires a mortgage or lease, utility bills, voters registration card, etc. They no longer allow a motel address or company address.

I had to show them my car registration and electric bill before they would let me transfer mine when I moved up there.

I wish you would get most of the information correct.

I HAVE NEVER HAD TO DO A ROAD TEST TO RENEW.

I have friends that have PO Boxes as their address for the cdl.
