I am coming back to trucking after 27 years, about two weeks from getting my CDL and hoping to be hired by May. I have read the threads on this forum throughly and really just need one bit of info.
What are the average miles on the western 11 Vs. reefer ?.
I figure I need to average 2500 Mi. a week,3000+would be nice. I do realize some weeks will be less and others more, just looking for fairly accurate estimates
Thanks in advance
Greetings May drivers

Sounds about right for reefer, but depends on who you talk to. I consider 2500 an avg week for me, but that's me.
But keep in mind with your expectations, WE HAVE SIXTY MPH TRUCKS! lolretread1 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the reply. Yes I do know the May trucks are turned down to 60... Makes me miss the Freightshaker I drove previously, had a 425 Cat would run 80-85 all day long. I take it you run reefer ?

yes, reefer. I have gone on record numerous times trying to understand why anyone would ever choose dry over reefer...lolretread1 Thanks this.

I average paid miles 1800, I think the 2,600 or 2,800 miles are not accurate. I have only a few 3k and mostly under 2k. Just saying. I am as straight forward as they come my pay stubs don't lie. The 50 mile average you lose per trip adds up from zip code to zip code.

I thought May paid practile miles?

They do. I average 3% difference on paid mile vs miles driven. You have to keep a close eye on your mileage. Follow your routing and get with your DM with any discrepancies.retread1 Thanks this.

Can any May drivers advise me on miles on the western 11 Vs. reefer. I really need some Info. to make an informed decision
Thanks in advance -
I have been out here running 11 for the last three weeks. First week was 2100 miles, second week was 2800 miles, and this week will be somewhere around 2200. I am in I think the oldest truck in the fleet and have had some mechanicals this week and the first week that slowed me down.
