Well, you are not going to find out ahead of time before you come to Prime either...

There is no one single answer when it comes to detention pay. Depends on the contract for the load whether dentention is included or not. If detention is to be paid it depends on criteria in contract. After that it depends on the rate at which it is paid.

Detention pay does exist, but I don't have a clear understanding exactly how. It appears to depend on the customer. Some pay detention, some don't. For anything extreme with the customers that don't, I have received layover pay. I've received as much as $350 for being delayed one day from a particular customer and the regular rate seems to be at $15 per hour calculated to the minute. The other unknown is exactly when the detention clock starts. That also varies. With some customers it starts at 1 minute, others it could be 2 hours.

Company drivers cannot turn down a load. If you cant legally do the load, you must notify your fleet manager. They will either take you off the load, or have you start the load and repower it, or get appointments adjusted.

BTW, I dont know what you are talking about when you say "confirmed load" A load is a load and expected to be rolled on unless they send you a message saying that they are taking you off the load.
